Voter Registration

As soon as you establish residence in Coryell County, you are qualified to register to vote in Coryell County.

Other requirements for voter registration include minimum age of 18 (you may register within 2 months of your 18th birthday). You must be a United States citizen.

You may not register to vote if you have been declared mentally incapacitated or if you have been convicted of a felony crime unless that disability has been removed. You regain the right to vote after you complete your sentence or probation.

Voter registration applications are available at any of our locations. They are also available at area post offices, libraries, Department of Public Safety and Texas Department of Human Services offices. You may write or call us for an application by mail. You may also request a voter registration application by sending an email to tac@coryelltax.com

Your voter registration is valid as long as you notify us of your current address. If you move within Coryell County please contact our office so we can update your records. Voter registration must be completed at least thirty days prior to an election for your registration to be effective for that election. New voter registration certificates are mailed every two years (in November of odd numbered years). If you move out of Coryell County, contact the Voter Registrar in your new county/state of residence.
